Free tools for plumbers

Three things a solo plumber actually needs: a way to quote a job, a way to bill it, and a straight answer on what to charge. All three run in your browser — no signup, no email, no watermark on the download.

Plumbing invoice template

Build an itemized invoice with automatic tax, totals, deposits, and balance due, then print it or download it as PDF, Word, or Excel. The Excel version keeps live formulas.

Use it when: The job is done and you need to bill it today.

Plumbing estimate template

Quote the work before you start — itemized labor and materials with automatic totals, tax, and deposit, downloadable as PDF, Word, or Excel.

Use it when: A customer asked “what will this cost?” and you want it in writing.

Plumber hourly rate calculator

Work backwards from the pay you want: add overhead, divide by the hours you can actually bill, add a margin. Shows the math instead of just a number.

Use it when: You suspect you have been underpricing and want to check.

Why these are free

Because they should be. Every one of these is a job a spreadsheet could do, and charging for a spreadsheet is not a business. Nothing you type is uploaded — the tools run entirely in your browser, and the "save" buttons keep a copy on your own device.

They also make an honest case for the paid product better than any sales page. Fill out an invoice by hand three or four times and you will notice how much of it is the same every job: your details, the customer's details, your rates, your terms. That repetition is the entire argument for software that builds the invoice from the job instead. If templates are enough for your volume, keep using them — that is a real answer, and we wrote up where the line actually falls.

Or stop filling out forms altogether

atPlumb turns the job into the estimate, the estimate into the invoice, and the invoice into a card payment before you leave the driveway. Flat $29/month, no per-user fee, no job cap.
